Originally the Polynesians already stood up on big boards and propelled themselves using a paddle. The goal: to explore and trade in the lagoons of their magical islands . In 2005 , the famous Hawaiian Waterman Laird Hamilton presented the SUP « up to date » , bringing a more modern and more “radical” style. He surfs today with his big board and paddle, always pushing the limits further, confronting waves of increasing size and power. SUP is also available in other forms of expression. For 2 or 3 years now, SUP racing is exploding everywhere including urban areas. But the favorite sporting field for SUP is still the ocean.

Come and discover this fun, new and accessible activity. After a short introduction, you can go for a paddle-tour with a guide. Thanks to the standing position, you’ll enjoy a fantastic view of the landscape as well as what lies underwater. Navigating silently through shallow waters, stand up permits you to come close to the banks or rocks and different birds without disturbing the environment. In any case, you will discover some of the Bigouden coastline or Pont l’Abbé River only accessible by stand-up . Your guide will be happy to share with you his passion for the marine environment, its’ fauna and flora.
